The Hurdle Rate

In finance, the hurdle rate is the minimum return an investment must generate to justify its cost. Same idea here — every squad slot costs money. Set your rank ambition and see who clears the bar.

How this works: A regression line is fitted through all qualifying players at each position (price → points). The threshold shifts the line up based on the target rank — for Top 10k, a player must beat the regression line by more than 80% of their peers do. This handles all price points cleanly without arbitrary bucket boundaries. Cost basis uses your purchase price from transfer history where available.

Form view: Uses FPL's "form" stat (avg pts per match over the last 30 days) × 38 to project a full-season equivalent. Not a prediction — it answers "if this player kept their current form all season, where would they be?"

Cost basis uses your purchase price from transfer history where available. All players judged on raw points — no captaincy adjustments.
